Our farm is for centuries an existing family business. Since
1992 we are an examined bio farm with 23 nut/mother cows and
1 bull. We concentrate on the raising of the calves up to
one year, which are then passed on to the Bio Austria. Ours
"bio beef" arrives afterwards only to austrian markets,
as well as for the baby food production .
In the year 2005 we converted our cowshed into a modern stall without tying up the animals with external discharge possibility, where our cattle spend the winter.
Starting from at the end of May are our cows on the Alm:
First in the Astenalm, later then on the course-leased Haitzingalm
on 1900 m above see level, where they spend the summer. The
Astenalm is managed by my brother and his family from the
end of of May to at the beginning of October. It is a popular
excursion and easily available from Boeckstein - only in a
half an hour walk on the old road. Further animals at the
yard are at present our dog "Bella", our cat "Striezi",
2 hares "Lea" and "Leo", 2 run ducks,
1 "Gockel"cock, 3 young chicken as well as 20 chickens
living free, which put daily our good bio eggs.
But now to our farmhouse: In the year 2000 we demolished our over 300 years old farmhouse and developed at the same place this new farmhouse with much love, work and commitment. Because we believe to have here in Remsach a little paradice there, we would like to have our guest participation on them. We have built in 2006 two appartements and 2 guests rooms and a cosy "farmers room" also - for unforgettable farm holidays.
