Approx. 350 km marked hiking ways and the movement arena Gastein are awaiting you. Make a nice trip with us into our Astenalm or drive you also into our leased Haitzingalm, where you can admire the beautiful panorama Gasteiner of mountains, the flora of alpine pastures and refuel new energy for everyday’s life breathing the fresh mountain clear air.
In Gastein some 40 alms ranging from altitudes between 1,200 and 1,830 metres are just waiting to be visited. Hikers can visit the Alms in Gastein and taste as well as buy the freshly made delicacies. Typical Austrian Alm specialities are available such as Cheese, Butter, Speck – seasoned with special herbs and seasonings from the mountain side – none of this should be missed while walking in the Gasteiner Alm Countryside. It’s worth to undertake a beautiful hiking tour along the Peter Sika way to Sportgastein. Let immerse yourself into the past time of the gold mining and visit the remaining remainders and buildings of this time with the Hieronymushouse among others. Also the Tourism Office in Bad Gastein or in Bad Hofgastein offers beautiful daily and half daily guided tours. Golf
Golf Club Gastein, founded in 1960, is one of the oldest and most traditional golf clubs in Austria. Occupying a fascinating position within the landscape, the fairways and greens blend harmoniously into the base of the Gastein mountains. A successful blend of both undulating and level fairways, long standing trees and small mountain streams make the course a challenge for players of all levels. Gastein Valley Bike Paths Starting in Böckstein (1100M) and leading to Klammstein (730M), where you can connect to the Salzach valley routes, the bike path with take you through a spectacular mountain panorama of 2000m high peaks.
